Small Feet Go Far has joined forces
with the Swedish Institute, the British Film
Institute and National Schools Film Week, to
bring the very best of Swedish Cinema for children, young
people and families to screens around London. These acclaimed
and award winning films range from the uplifting to the
challenging and enable viewers of any age to explore Swedish
culture and creativity.
How the films were
selected
The films selected for Small Feet Go Far are aimed at
children and young people, but should not be regarded
only as childrens films. In Sweden they are appreciated
by a wider general audience as well. The films deal with
relationships between children and adults, without being
patronising or childish. After their first run at the
box office, the films have frequently been used in school
cinema programmes and have stimulated pupils and teachers
to discover and discuss the issues raised. |
